Common between tatting and macramé, twisted chains!
How to do?
– a twisted chain S: This is a series of simple knots, we just repeat the first part of the double stitch.
– a twisted chain Z: This is a series of simple knots, we just repeat the second part of the double stitch.
Note n°1
The only difficulty of a twisted chain is regularity. To do this, I suggest you take a cue: I stop all x knots to untwist my thread. Of the examples I have photographed these are beads that serve me Landmark: I insert a bead every 6 knots, I détords my thread at that time.
Note n°2
If you make an S-twist on a thread torsion Z, untwisted the thread. On the contrary, when one makes a Z twist on a Z twist thread, increasing the twist of the thread.
This is a factor that must be considered when choosing one or the other.
