The new project: a tatted fan

A new project on the horizon: a tatted fan!

eh yes, I was made to request a small size fan that can be easily carried in a handbag. (❁´▽`❁) What a good idea, isn't it?

Just the choice of the frame of the hand fan asked me some time. I finally found my happiness in Magalie Deboudard's store which sells many models for bobbin lace. I found a fan frame in pear tree 11,2 cm: it seemed to be the perfect size.

As this is not a decorative object and it will be used, I opted for a beaded silk cord Au Ver à Soie. Silk is much stronger than cotton, and this thread is not too thin.

Now, everything is to be! I have already drawn the first round that seems to give the expected result. But the adventure is just beginning with this fan. ♪♪v(⌒o⌒)v♪♪

  1. Good luck Lilas, imagine that I just discovered a great range but mount !!! And I was thinking how I could do for it folds ! For the small range of my book could not bend ! You must have seen at Georgia Seitz who did it to you “the tatting class online”. Good work.

Good work.
