Now is the time to reveal the true nature of the project “Ceci n’est pas un napperon” (this is not a doily) and to share the promised pattern.
With Maud Germain, designer of wedding dresses, we imagined a piece of lace to place on the back of one of her dresses. This is a piece of 15 cm in diameter.
As nothing prevents to use it to make a placemat, I share my pattern.
The length of the picots indicated corresponds to a thread of the diameter of Tenax 30.
The diagram has been modified and poorly conducted, so it is not very clear. Note that in the connection between clovers of the 3rd round and the chain of the 4th seems very long on the diagram, in reality it isn’t.
The 4th and 5th rows are interlaced. It is possible to make them one after the other provided you use a small enough shuttle to be passed in space. Otherwise, we can make the 2 rows at the same time with 2 shuttles and 2 thread balls.
The last 2 rows are rows of split rings.
